The naturalistic oil painting „Die Biene“ by the German painter Marion Pilz from 2019 is about the confrontation between the viewer with, among other things, a lifelike bee. The earth tones and separations in the picture are reminiscent of walls, diseased solid floors or general growth and destruction processes in nature triggered by humans. The connection between nature and man remains visible but also mysterious and is nevertheless superficial. The bees are known as masters of social organization in a highly ordered state and as architects.
